JAPAN STUDY TOUR HEADER.JPG

By fostering strong connections with our sister schools in Yoshida, we establish reciprocal arrangements that facilitate the exchange of cultural experiences.

In previous study tours, students have engaged in a variety of enriching activities:

Temple and Shrine Visits: Immerse yourselves in the serene and awe-inspiring world of Japan's ancient temples and shrines. Explore the spiritual traditions and marvel at the architectural wonders that have endured for centuries.

School Experience: Experience firsthand the warmth and hospitality of Japanese people during school visits to our sister schools in Yoshida. This cultural experience offers students the opportunity to be immersed in a school expereience that is vastly different to Australian schools. They participate in cultural activities such as calligraphy, sports and kyuushoku (school lunch).

Exciting Excursions: Embark on thrilling adventures to Universal Studios, where students can explore the magic of the movies and create unforgettable memories. Additionally, visit the Hiroshima Peace Park to pay tribute to the past and promote a message of peace and reconciliation.

Culinary Delights: Delight your taste buds with an array of delicious Japanese cuisine, from sushi and ramen to tempura and okonomiyaki. Students will have the chance to savor the diverse flavors and culinary delights that Japan has to offer.

Railway Adventures: Navigate Japan's efficient and extensive railway network like a local. Students will learn how to purchase rail tickets and experience the convenience of public transportation firsthand, gaining valuable life skills along the way.

Exclusive Geisha Experience: Participate in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony and witness the graceful artistry of geisha dancing.

Our next tour is scheduled to commence in September 2024, where 30 Year 5 and 6 students are eagerly preparing themselves for an immersive journey into Japanese culture.
