A welcome message from EHSS
Edge Hill State School prides itself on the standards it sets and the values it upholds. We aim to educate our students as individuals; as communicators; as group and community members; and as part of the physical world around them so that learners today are prepared for living in and contributing to an environmentally sustainable society and global economy tomorrow.
Our school motto “Honour and Labour” is exemplified by a striving for excellence in all aspects of school life. Our well-rounded curriculum focusses on the growth of the individual in a safe, supportive environment and students are offered a range of extra-curricular opportunities through which they may strive and thrive. We maintain exceptional facilities, resources and attractive grounds in which our students can learn and play.
It is expected that all students and staff will commit to a set of School Wide Expectations: to be respectful, be safe, be responsible and be learning. We encourage in our students a lifelong love of learning and aim to foster an environment where every day, in every classroom, every student is learning and achieving. We expect our students to be responsible and to develop awareness and self-discipline, respecting the rights of all students to learn, the rights of all teachers to teach and the rights of all to be safe.
