The P&C and school partnership
A lot can be achieved through the P&C and school working together towards common goals. To do this we need people from all walks of life who are committed to delivering great outcomes for your children and our school. The P&C and school partnership is built on trust, respect and shared values. It thrives on open and honest communication relishing the challenges of educating your children. Everybody has a role to play and your ideas will be heard. The more people involved in our P&C the more exciting and successful it will be. Great results can be achieved for your children and our school – when we work together.

Other P&C activities
P&C is involved in the following activities at our school:
- Fundraising through sausage sizzles, movie nights, discos, raffles, containers for change (Scheme ID C10213846), book fair, garage sales, colour fun run, etc.
- Hosting community events like Big Breakfast, welcome BBQs, etc.
- Writing grant applications for all sorts of things from school/community-based events or major infrastructure projects.
- Working with the school to identify future capital projects and improvement of facilities, lobbying state government.
- Reviewing school policies and providing parent feedback.
- Safe School Travel committee.
What are P&C funds spent on?
Funds raised by the P&C are used for the following items:
- A refrigerator in every classroom.
- Books, sports equipment, musical instruments and sheet music, other resources required by the school.
- Playgrounds, shade sails, undercover areas and walkways.
- Chilled water bubblers.
- Teacher Aides for the Kitchen Garden Program and the Japanese Immersion Program.
- Contribution towards buses for school excursions/camps, support for students chosen to represent the school at local, regional, or national competitions.
- Infrastructure Projects as they are required - PAC refurbishment (2023), Prep Playground Upgrade (2022), Outdoor classroom/undercover area (2022), Extension of OSHC building (2018), construction of the Innovation Centre and undercover area (2016/2017), construction of the Prep/OSHC undercover area (2016).
Ways you can be involved?
Our P&C involves people just like you – parents, past parents and community minded people who want to help our school. The P&C works very closely with our school towards building a stronger school community – where all children benefit!
Getting involved in our P&C doesn’t mean you’re taking up a fulltime job. We know you are busy and we value any amount of time you can spare.
Some ways to be involved are:
- Attend a meeting held the 4th Wednesday of every month.
- Volunteer time at one of our many fundraising or community events.
- Grant application writing.
- Financial management, budgeting, project and event planning.
- Marketing and social media posts.
- Working Bee’s – cleaning, organising, gardening, etc.
The benefits of joining our P&C
Actions speak louder than words when it comes to valuing your child's learning. Joining the P&C is one of the best ways to show your children how much you value their education. Your child's educational abilities are enhanced with your involvement. By joining the P&C you are showing your children how committed you are to helping our students and school community.

How to join the P&C
Joining the P&C is as easy as coming along to the next P&C meeting or completing the membership form.
Our P&C meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month (excluding school holidays) at 6:15 pm in the Admin Block.
