EHOSHC is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care. Guided by the My Time Our Place framework, our program is built on a holistic, play-based approach that values children's input and draws on evidence-based principles. Our goal is to foster life skills, a sense of belonging, and community, while empowering children to become confident, resilient, and active members of society.
We create an inclusive and supportive environment that celebrates the unique backgrounds of all children, families, and educators, recognizing the diverse cultures, beliefs, and abilities that shape our community. Through strong, respectful and long-lasting relationships with children and their families, we encourage children to grow at their own pace and become lifelong learners who are confident, capable, empowered, humble, honourable, respectful, responsible, and socially aware.
We believe in fostering a sense of belonging, encouraging curiosity and creativity, and providing opportunities for exploration and learning through play via a wide variety of fun and engaging experiences and activities from art, crafts and STEM activities to sports, loose parts play and nature based inquiry both indoors and out.
Our approach is child-led, with a focus on developing life skills, emotional intelligence, and social awareness fostering creativity, resilience and inquiry, while also providing educators with a positive, collaborative, and supportive workplace that values their contributions and growth. We aim to provide children with the guidance and opportunities they need to develop and thrive.
